Dr. Youjin Hahn is a distinguished economist specializing in the economics of education, health economics, development economics, and labor economics. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Washington.

Currently, Dr. Hahn serves as a Professor at the School of Economics, Yonsei University, and is the Director of the Yonsei Economic Research Institute. Her research has been published in esteemed journals, including the Journal of Public Economics, The Economic Journal, and the Journal of Health Economics. Notably, her work on the impact of school autonomy on student outcomes in South Korea has provided valuable insights into educational policy .

In addition to her research, Dr. Hahn is dedicated to teaching and mentoring. She offers courses such as Health Care Economics and Microeconomics at Yonsei University and has supervised numerous graduate theses, contributing to the development of future economists  Her expertise and commitment to advancing economic research and education have established her as a leading figure in her field.
