Dr. Minhaj Mahmud is a Senior Research Fellow at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and has completed postdoctoral research at the University of Tokyo, Japan. His academic journey also includes a Master's in Economics from the University of Manchester, UK, and a Bachelor's in Economics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Throughout his career, Dr. Mahmud has made significant contributions to development economics, focusing on behavioral and experimental economics, health economics, and environmental economics. He has led and participated in numerous research projects addressing critical issues such as poverty alleviation, public health, and sustainable development. His work has been published in esteemed journals, reflecting his commitment to advancing economic research.

In addition to his research endeavors, Dr. Mahmud has been actively involved in policy formulation and evaluation, providing insights to various governmental and international organizations.
